As-Built Drawings - Q&A
Why you need as-built drawings:
Your first step in getting a permit to build “like for like” will be to submit to the County Planning department. They will need to know what your building looked like (plans and building elevations), where it was located on your property (site plan) and whether you had any secondary structures such as ADUs or garages. These documents can also be useful if the insurance company wants to price the original insured structure. It is a great place to start.
What an as-built company will need from you to get started:
Any information you have gathered from MLS, original drawings, Assessor records, parcel map, city & county records + any photos you may have of your property will be sent to them and they will recreate your house as CAD drawings that we can use as well as a SketchUp rendering. See the below example!

Is there anyone Bunch Design recommends?
We have been working with Jaycad for all our Fire Rebuild projects. He has been doing all you see below for $1200! A tremendous value.
If you reach out to Jay, tell him Bunch Design sent you :)
