Having moved from England to America, the owner always liked the compact spaces of his modest tudor cottage set up against the drama of the golden mountains behind. Small spaces can be great, so we happily accepted the original plan, although we loosened up the spaces with carefully located skylights and windows. We drew some inspiration from our most favorite Brit Sir John Soane and his home/museum. Zenithal light highlights nooks and contrasts with vaulted roof lines. A line of windows and doors opens up the back of the house to the patio and entertainment spaces behind the house.
Once this is approved the exact same plan can be submitted on a different lot saving time and money as it has been already approved. We call this our Doppelganger Program. If you are interested we can do this for all the rebuilds we do.
